This map was produced in 1928 and Otto J. Murphy is noted as a property owner on a number of parcels.
If you look closely at the top right property, it denotes T. Murphy as holding 3 1/2 acres and Otto as holding 96 1/2 acres.
As his father Thomas was still alive at this time, I'm guessing he kept a small parcel with his home.
